Morrissey has once again pulled the plug on multiple concerts — just weeks after receiving a disturbing death threat.

The 66-year-old former Smiths frontman was scheduled to perform in Mexico City on Friday, October 31 and in Guadalajara on Tuesday, November 4 as part of his ongoing tour. However, promoter OCESA confirmed on Instagram that both shows had been canceled, citing the singer's "extreme exhaustion."

"We are informing the public in Mexico City and Guadalajara that, due to the artist's extreme exhaustion, Morrissey's concerts scheduled for October 31st at the Palacio de los Deportes and November 4th at the Auditorio Telmex have been cancelled," the statement read, translated from Spanish. Fans who purchased tickets online will receive automatic refunds, while in-person buyers can request them beginning November 7.

The cancellation comes less than two months after Morrissey abruptly axed U.S. tour stops in Connecticut and Massachusetts following what his team called a "credible threat on his life." "Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of both the artist and audience, tonight's engagement at Foxwoods has been cancelled," a statement at the time explained.

According to The Ottawa Citizen, a 26-year-old man from Ottawa was later arrested and charged with making threats against the singer on social media platform BlueSky. The individual has since been released on bail under supervision in Washington, D.C.

Despite the alarming circumstances, Morrissey went on to perform at Ottawa's CityFolk Festival in mid-September. At this time, it remains unclear whether Morrissey's exhaustion is related to the threat.
