Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating in royal style — with a little PDA and a lot of Dodgers spirit.
Following the Los Angeles Dodgers' dramatic World Series victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, November 1, the Duchess of Sussex shared a playful clip of herself kissing her husband as they watched the win unfold.
The video, posted to Markle's Instagram Story that same night, showed Harry, 41, reclining in a private theater while Markle, 44, cheered from behind the camera. Moments later, she appeared on-screen, bounding over to him before giving him a kiss and shouting, "Oh my god!" as the Dodgers clinched the title in an 11-inning nail-biter.

The moment of celebration came after the pair faced backlash earlier in the week for attending Game 4 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium, where they were booed by some fans when shown on the Jumbotron.

At that earlier outing, the Duke and Duchess drew attention for their prime seating — front row and ahead of Los Angeles legends like Magic Johnson and former Dodgers pitcherSandy Koufax. Though critics took issue with the arrangement, the Sussexes appeared unfazed, chatting with Koufax and posing for photos with Johnson and his wife, Cookie.
It turns out Markle's Dodgers pride might be more personal than fans realized. The Duchess of Sussex actually shares distant family ties with one of the team's biggest stars, Mookie Betts. According to The Boston Globe, Markle and Betts are connected through their great-great relatives — her great-great-aunt Katie Betts married his great-great-uncle Richard Betts in 1920, making them distant cousins by marriage. Their ancestors, Jacob Betts and Joseph Betts, even lived side by side on a plantation in Madison County, Alabama.
The revelation surprised the Dodgers slugger when it came to light in 2018. "I saw on television that they were getting married. But I had no idea we were related," Betts told the Globe. "That's not something you expect to hear, but it's interesting." At the time, he even joked that meeting Markle "would be cool" — adding, "I wonder if she's a baseball fan?"
