Magistrate blasts former footy star for shock act during court trial after his drug addiction led to him getting busted for dealing ice

A former rugby league star has been blasted by a magistrate after he failed to show up for an appearance in court. Ex-Parramatta and Manly fullback Andrew Frew was convicted and fined $5,000 in absentia on Wednesday, May 14, for a charge of recklessly dealing with the proceeds of crime. Frew had initially made a plea of not guilty to the charge on June 19, 2024.
