Blink-182's Mark Hoppus shares how accidentally revealing his cancer battle to the world saved him: 'It was a blessing'


Mark Hoppus has revealed how his accidental cancer announcement was a blessing in disguise. The Blink-182 frontman had been undergoing chemotherapy for three months for aggressive form of blood cancer, when he accidentally posted a photo of himself in treatment to Instagram Stories. The post, made in 2021, was meant to go to his 'close friends' only - but the punk singer had chosen the wrong setting. At the time, he quickly deleted the post and hoped it would 'go away' - but in the end, the world finding out was for the best, he told The Project on Wednesday.
